Light and refreshing, this vodka kombucha cocktail is perfect for any occasion. Made with a pink peppercorn-cardamom syrup and lemon-ginger kombucha, this drink has incredible depth of flavor and festive flare.

How to make a kombucha cocktail

Kombucha is a great ingredient for cocktails! Effervescent and flavorful, it adds a depth of flavor unlike any other ingredient. Here is an outline of how to make a kombucha cocktail.

  • 1 ½ ounces liquor (vodka, gin, tequila are all great)
  • 2 ounces kombucha
  • ½ ounce simple syrup
  • ½ ounce fresh citrus juice
  • 3 dashes bitters

How to make a simple syrup

Making a simple syrup is, well, simple!

As a rule of thumb, simple syrups are made by dissolving 1 part sugar (granulated) into 1 part water (1:1).

To dissolve the sugar into the water you bring the sugar and water to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Once the mixture is boiling, and the sugar has dissolved, remove the pan from heat and let the syrup cool completely.

See? Simple!
