Healthy Apple Crisp

gluten-free

STEP 1

combine coconut sugar, melted butter, olive oil, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt

STEP 2

add almond flour

and mix to combine

STEP 3

add oats and pecans

STEP 4

and mix until a thick dough comes together

cover and chill

STEP 5

gather tart Granny Smith apples

STEP 6

peel and cut apples into ½-inch wedges 

STEP 7

add coconut sugar, bourbon, lemon juice, arrowroot starch (or cornstarch), cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt

STEP 8

toss until apples are evenly coated

STEP 9

transfer to a baking dish, cover with foil and bake...

until juicy and tender

STEP 10

sprinkle topping over apples and bake until filling is bubbly...

and topping is deep golden brown

add a few scoops of vanilla ice cream!

and dive in to gooey, crispy deliciousness!
