How to Reverse Sear Steak

Reverse searing is a method of cooking steak that involves slow roasting the meat in the oven before finishing it off with a quick sear on the stove or grill. This method allows for greater control over the cooking process and results in a steak that is evenly cooked through.

Season the steak well with kosher salt. If you have the time, let it rest on a wire rack for a few hours (in the fridge).

STEP 1

Slow roast steak until it's about 15-degrees UNDER desired final temperature.

STEP 2

Sear steak in a rippin' hot skillet with butter and oil until golden brown on each side and desired internal temperature is reached.

STEP 3

Slice and enjoy!

STEP 4

A cozy and cheesy baked vegetable side dish, perfect for the holidays!
