PERFECT 

PAN-SEARED SALMON 

STEP 1

combine kosher salt and cracked black pepper

STEP 2

sprinkle half of the salt and pepper mixture in a nonstick skillet

STEP 3

place salmon, skin-side down, on top of salt and pepper in unheated skillet 

STEP 4

place the skillet over medium-high heat and sprinkle with remaining salt and pepper

STEP 5

cook salmon until  fat begins to render and skin starts to brown

you'll see the salmon starts to slowly cook from the bottom up

STEP 6

gently flip salmon once it looks cooked halfway through

STEP 7

cook salmon until flesh starts to brown...

and the internal temp registers 145ºF (62ºC)

STEP 8

flip salmon once more, then transfer to a serving plate and use as desired
