A sour tequila base gets shaked until chilled, strained into a coupe glass and topped with a fruity red wine float. This is the tequila version of a NY Sour!

Ingredients
1 ½ouncesblanco tequila
1ouncefresh lime juice
½ouncerich simple syrup
½–1ouncefruity red wine
Instructions
Shake 1 ½ ounces tequila, 1 ounce lime juice, and ½ ounce rich simple syrup in a cocktail shaker partially filled with ice until thoroughly chilled, about 15 seconds.
Strain into a coupe glass then gently float ½ to 1 ounce red wine on top using the back of a bar spoon.
To make a rich simple syrup: combine 1/2 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water in a small saucepan over medium. Bring to a simmer and cook until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool completely before using. Store simple syrup in a glass container with a tight fitting lid in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
