Ingredients
2cupschilled fresh blood orange juice,from about 6 oranges
1(750mL) bottlesparkling wine,such as brut Cava or Prosecco, chilled
Blood orange slices for serving
Instructions
Pour 2 ounces blood orange juice and ½ ounce ginger liqueur into each champagne flute. Fill flutes with sparkling wine; garnish with a slice of orange and serve immediately.
Blood Oranges: blood oranges can be found at most grocery stores between December and April. They have a unique peel with spots of dark coloring and a bright red flesh.Ginger liqueur: you can find ginger liqueur at most liquor stores. You can also use a ginger simple syrup if you prefer not to use liqueur.
