Enjoy the bitter and refreshing flavors of a good spritz, without the booze. This non-alcoholic spritz recipe is inspired by an Aperol Spritz or a Campari Spritz and utilizes my favorite non-alcoholic Aperitif in place of the Aperol or Campari. The result is a deliciously nuanced cocktail without the booze or the calories.
Ingredients for a Non-Alcoholic Spritz
- Non-Alcoholic Aperitif: my favorite right now is Roots Divino Rosso. Wilfred’s, Ritual and Ghia all have great options as well.
- Tonic water: it’s key to use tonic water and not club soda! The aperitif needs tonic water to unleash its full potential. I like Q Elderflower Tonic Water, Fever Tree or Betty Buzz.
- Non-Alcoholic Aromatic Bitters: All the Bitter is my favorite non-alcoholic bitter brand. Their trio of NA bitters is a great deal.
- Orange Twist: you can also use a lemon twist but orange is best here!
How to Make a Non-Alcoholic Spritz
- In a rocks glass add the aperitif and bitters. Add a large ice cube and stir to chill.
- Top with tonic water and stir to combine.
- Run an orange twist around the rim of the glass and drop it in the drink. Enjoy!
More Non-Alcoholic Cocktails to Try
- If you love a classic dirty martini but are sticking to no-booze, try my Non-Alcoholic Martini. It’s full of flavor and incredibly nuanced!
- Try the process of milk clarification and make a non-alcoholic milk punch using cranberry juice. There’s also a full-tilt version made with rum in the recipe card.
- Combine espresso and tonic water to create a—you guessed it—Espresso Tonic! It’s caffeinated, bitter, and just slightly sweet.
- Averna Limonata is a low-abv cocktail that can easily be made using NA Amaro.
